Welcome to the home page of Tavara Tinker, an enterprising woman working unnoticed in the mysterious underground, making clothing, weapons and other items for the adventurers of a new age.

Clothing . . .

By day, shopping through the various districts, she draws no attention to herself. To keep costs for her customers low, she purchases articles she  can readily update, improve and redesign for those of us in the wide world of the steam age. To the outside world, she is just another proper Victorian lady, shopping for her friends, husband or self . . .

 Then, she takes these seemingly ordinary items back to her factory, deep in the brick jungle of indistrial london, where she readies them for use by a new generation of woman--adventurous, determined, confident. The authorities have not taken too kindly to what they believe is the encouragement of the lady of the house to seek adventure, so TT adopted her current persona, and trusts only a small consignment shop to offer her designs to the public and protect her true identity.

The Thing Is . . .

Pretty soon, people from all over--men, women and even parents were stopping into the quaint little shop, and asking if TT could make designs for them. So she expanded, offering men's options, and even children's outfits, travelling all over the known world, questing to find what she needed. Her exploits have become as legendary as the clothes themselves. silvervest

And That's When Things Got Interesting . . .

Tavara Tinker Steampunk Gun If there is anything TT loves more than clothes, it's gadgets and gizmos. When a regular client of the consignment shop one day complained that his trusty sidearm had failed him in a moment of truth, TT took it upon herself to design him a new weapon. Creating a secret lab and manufacturing space, she designed the adventurer a new weapon, and he in turn quickly spread the word about it's increadible design, handling and accuracy. Soon, people from all over the world began outfitting for their adventures from the tiny consignment shop. TT has since reached out to a very select group of designers to help her maintain her quality and increase her quantity.

So now, TT still adventures, still encourages others to go out and find their calling, all while coordinating an underground business empire that flies in the face of 19th century society. But then, the new century is coming, and the future is wide open . . .
